The queen excluders are made in Australia and are very kind on the bees' wings.

The gap between the wires for the bees to use is between 4.3 millimetres and 4.5 millimetres wide. The wire used is 2 millimetre galvanised wire and the variation in this wire can be 0.2 millimetres. A machine with a brass jig is used to make the excluders.
